Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) U21 Poland's Er Håland started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Pelle Flinck came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the U21 Sweden fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pelle Flinck couldn't finish the play. 9 minutes into the game, Karl-Henry Roos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. U21 Sweden's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave U21 Poland the free kick. A collision led to U21 Sweden getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Karl-Henry Roos hit a great ball. In the 11th minute, Er Håland made a precise shot to the right of Sixten Nordström. U21 Sweden's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Kala Mala fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sixten Nordström having to interfere. Sixten Nordström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Er Håland, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. 24 minutes into the match, U21 Poland's goal looked a bit too open when Pelle Flinck came free, but Tanek Wojtyna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tanek Wojtyna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pelle Flinck in the 28th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Er Håland had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sixten Nordström. U21 Sweden's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Er Håland was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Tanek Wojtyna didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pelle Flinck went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Sixten Nordström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Er Håland in the 42nd minute of play. Tanek Wojtyna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pelle Flinck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
U21 Poland's Stanislaw Maziarski was substituted for Kala Mala. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pelle Flinck to make the kick off. U21 Poland's Tanek Wojtyna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wiktor Kjellqvist in the 52nd minute of play. Tanek Wojtyna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pelle Flinck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of U21 Poland booed when U21 Sweden was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wiktor Kjellqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. U21 Sweden made a substitution. Chatziantoniou Anagnostopoulos replaced Pelle Flinck. An unexpectedly hard shot by Er Håland in the 62nd minute of play forced U21 Sweden's goalkeeper Sixten Nordström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Er Håland's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sixten Nordström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind U21 Sweden's goalkeeper Sixten Nordström, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tanek Wojtyna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tommy Sundberg in the 69th minute of the match. U21 Sweden's Sixten Nordström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Er Håland in the 70th minute of play. Tommy Sundberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tanek Wojtyna having to interfere. U21 Poland's Zdzislaw Rydzewski was substituted for Rado Sobol. In the 77th minute Tommy Sundberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tanek Wojtyna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to U21 Poland getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Kamilo Glik hit a great ball. Tanek Wojtyna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chatziantoniou Anagnostopoulos, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Chatziantoniou Anagnostopoulos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tanek Wojtyna having to make a save. In the 81stth minute of the game Chatziantoniou Anagnostopoulos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U21 Poland's Tanek Wojtyna was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind U21 Poland's goalkeeper Tanek Wojtyna, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Luc Fontaine struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Tanek Wojtyna didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for U21 Sweden. U21 Sweden's Sixten Nordström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save U21 Sweden from getting a goal against them. 94 minutes into the match, U21 Sweden's Tommy Sundberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tanek Wojtyna narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
