After a rather tough play, ..Villa Rugby Club..'s Ramiro Lleir got a free kick in the 2nd minute. In the 7th minute Flavio Perez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rene Vereijt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kang Ying Hai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from William Westelinx, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kang Ying Hai made an important save on a dangerous shot by William Westelinx in the 18th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flavio Perez in the 20th minute of play forced FC Ouagadougou National's goalkeeper Rene Vereijt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. German Bernebe kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. In the 27th minute, Olaf Cebula hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 28 minutes into the match, William Westelinx dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Kang Ying Hai, 1-0. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Olaf Cebula to make the kick off. Riemer Ax hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. ..Villa Rugby Club..'s Enrique Gaur was substituted for Daavid Uitto. After a rather tough play, FC Ouagadougou National's Riemer Ax got a free kick in the 57th minute. 60 minutes into the match, Carlos Saúl Menem notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of FC Ouagadougou National's Rene Vereijt. Rene Vereijt was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. FC Ouagadougou National's Dani Rojas was substituted for Hamza Yavaş. In the 67th minute Dani Rojas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kang Ying Hai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Saúl Menem in the 68th minute of play forced FC Ouagadougou National's goalkeeper Rene Vereijt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aldo Zumiel was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. FC Ouagadougou National made a substitution. Jedrzej Kiszkiel replaced William Westelinx. Kang Ying Hai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sean Westelinx, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rene Vereijt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Saúl Menem in the 75th minute of play. Kang Ying Hai showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dani Rojas in the 78th minute of the match. Carlos Saúl Menem could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Rene Vereijt made a huge save. Carlos Saúl Menem had several of the FC Ouagadougou National's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 90 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-3 score and a disappointed Rene Vereijt as he didn't even see the shot coming. Kang Ying Hai showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dani Rojas, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute.

The ..Villa Rugby Club.. supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing ..Villa Rugby Club.. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
