Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Zenon Jaroszewicz made the kick off and thus started the match. The audience was convinced that Zenon Jaroszewicz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. In the 10th minute Wisła Kraków were awarded a corner. Wasyl Ludzia went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 14th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zenon Jaroszewicz in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tomas Illescas scored 0-1 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Stefan Kazanowski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Stefan Kazanowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 31st minute of play. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Feliks Sokol in the 35th minute of play. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tomas Illescas's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Stefan Kazanowski firmly grabbed it by the left post. Stefan Kazanowski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 60th minute. In the 63rd match minute, Wisła Kraków was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pankracy Peczkowski to maneuver through the defense. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Stefan Kazanowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guillermo Mariano might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Stefan Kazanowski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Guillermo Mariano ran back to his position shaking his head. After 69 played minutes Wisła Kraków got a freekick which was hit by Zygmunt Witkowski. The throw-in from Wasyl Ludzia in the 75th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Stefan Kazanowski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. Zenon Jaroszewicz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 91 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Wisła Kraków! Tomas Illescas shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Zenon Jaroszewicz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wisła Kraków's supporters rose to their feet, but Zenon Jaroszewicz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
