Aristides Barea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edward Mcdonald, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Aristides Barea was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 8 minutes into the match, O rey Iván's goal looked a bit too open when Zach Harrison came free, but Aristides Barea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 9 minutes had been played when some careless play by O rey Iván's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cassius Byrne was slow to take the kick. During this time USA's players had a chance to rest. USA's Monty Rogers got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aristides Barea stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cassius Byrne's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. Marco Day took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mihály Fülep, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aristides Barea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cassius Byrne in the 18th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Augusto Fliz got free with Marco Day in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in O rey Iván's zone, Edward Mcdonald stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aristides Barea came out of the goal and Edward Mcdonald tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. O rey Iván's Aristides Barea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Monty Rogers in the 28th minute of play. In the 29th minute USA were awarded a corner. Cassius Byrne went to the cornerflag to take it. Jenson Smith was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Marco Day made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mihály Fülep in the 32nd minute. O rey Iván's Aristides Barea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cassius Byrne in the 33rd minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Diego Bradley in the 35th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by O rey Iván's Augusto Fliz. In the 36th minute, Mihály Fülep left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The O rey Iván fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 40th minute Monty Rogers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aristides Barea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

53 minutes into the game, Mihály Fülep cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Marco Day was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 58th minute Cassius Byrne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aristides Barea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, USA's Koby Fletcher got a free kick in the 61st minute. O rey Iván's Ivan Lizar was substituted for Mihály Fülep. Koby Fletcher hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. After 64 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for O rey Iván! O rey Iván:s Aristides Barea showed great skill when he stopped Monty Rogers:s penalty. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sam Campbell in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aristides Barea prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sam Campbell could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Aristides Barea made a huge save. USA's Marco Baker was substituted for Edward Mcdonald.
