Segundo Mattin made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Jaime Pardo sent off a good shot on target. 85 minutes into the game, Jaime Pardo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Segundo Mattin. Jaime Pardo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-11. Juan Diego Tenorio got a throw-in 88 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Hector Covarrubias. Ivan Prats came free with the goalkeeper in the 89th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Segundo Mattin could save by the left post. After some careless play in the CA Boca Jrs MdP defense, Hector Covarrubias kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Segundo Mattin. The CA Boca Jrs MdP fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Segundo Mattin should have stopped the shot. A sloppy throw-in by Juan Diego Tenorio in the 94th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by CA Boca Jrs MdP's Celedonio Palban. Segundo Mattin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Pardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Segundo Mattin was out of position in the 96 minute of play, and Hector Covarrubias capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Hector Covarrubias really showed his touch with that goal: 0-13. Paraguay played a much better game than CA Boca Jrs MdP and deserved their victory. The CA Boca Jrs MdP players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
