In the 13th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Gustaf Gulliksson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andreas Bergfelt charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Andreas Bergfelt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 19 played minutes Anabolic Boys got a freekick which was hit by Andreas Bergfelt. After having played for 20 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tommy Haglund kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Felix Montenegro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gustaf Gulliksson having to make a save. Gustaf Gulliksson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 29th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gustaf Gulliksson. Anabolic Boys's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gustaf Gulliksson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 43rd minute, Daniel Zorita made a precise shot to the right of Gustaf Gulliksson. Anabolic Boys's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
