Thanks to some nice moves Lautaro Mancebo could shoot a difficult shot in the 71st minute, which Oskar Haeger however easily saved by the left post. Joel Gaona might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Oskar Haeger. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joel Gaona ran back to his position shaking his head. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ingemar Stålman in the 75th minute of play. In the 76th minute, Felix Luque hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Hermanö Oilers booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Luque didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oskar Haeger having to interfere. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
