The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the game, Nahuel Marquezado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SiTomanBoy´s's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave New Joinville - FSCMZ the free kick. Emílio Martins charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emílio Martins the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 6 played minutes New Joinville - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Emílio Martins. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lamine Xande in the 7th minute of play forced SiTomanBoy´s's goalkeeper Daniel Maldini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to SiTomanBoy´s getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Nahuel Marquezado hit a great ball. When Horacio Escalona fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SiTomanBoy´s's protests and gave Horacio Escalona a yellow card for diving instead. In the 15th minute, Horacio Escalona hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 20th minute, Lamine Xande ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Daniel Maldini was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Horacio Escalona scored 1-1 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Emerson Chaves, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 28th minute, Válbson Schmidt left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The New Joinville - FSCMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Chiquinho de Amorim made in the 30th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Durvalino Travassos. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind New Joinville - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Emerson Chaves, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Emerson Chaves was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Horacio Escalona showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 35 minute of play. With a little luck, New Joinville - FSCMZ's Emerson Chaves got control of the ball when Horacio Escalona tried to sneak it across the goal line. Daniel Maldini stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lamine Xande's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. Daniel Maldini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lamine Xande in the 47th minute of the match. The supporters of New Joinville - FSCMZ booed when SiTomanBoy´s was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Darío Brizuela didn't get a good kick on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lamine Xande stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind SiTomanBoy´s's goalkeeper Daniel Maldini, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to New Joinville - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Durvalino Travassos hit a great ball. New Joinville - FSCMZ made a substitution. Glauco Correia replaced Sidney de Queirós. New Joinville - FSCMZ made a substitution. Guilherme Tavares replaced Emílio Martins. Durvalino Travassos kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. SiTomanBoy´s's Daniel Maldini proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save SiTomanBoy´s from getting a goal against them. Emerson Chaves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horacio Escalona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to New Joinville - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Xandinho Thuram hit a great ball. Sebastiano Dalgalarrando took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 70th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Emerson Chaves. New Joinville - FSCMZ's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. New Joinville - FSCMZ's Emerson Chaves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horacio Escalona in the 73rd minute of play. A collision led to SiTomanBoy´s getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Sebastián Romo hit a great ball. Ronaldo Viana might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Daniel Maldini. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ronaldo Viana ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in SiTomanBoy´s's zone, Lamine Xande stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniel Maldini came out of the goal and Lamine Xande tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Emerson Chaves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Darío Brizuela in the 84th minute of play. Lamine Xande could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Daniel Maldini made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ronaldo Viana during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 87 played minutes New Joinville - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Ronaldo Viana. Marquinhos Jacinto made in the 93rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Robinho de Souza immediately put the ball in play. 94 minutes into the match, Robinho de Souza had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Daniel Maldini. SiTomanBoy´s's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Robinho de Souza was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3.

The SiTomanBoy´s supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching New Joinville - FSCMZ's performance. The match ended with a win for New Joinville - FSCMZ.
