Ecuador's defense didn't have a chance, in the 18th minute, when Valiente Venezian scored to the left of an out of position Julio Vera, making the score, 1-0. Abdulkadir Turay showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. After 35 minutes, He Fei Zhou mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cercadinho and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 35 played minutes Cercadinho got a freekick which was hit by He Fei Zhou. After 39 played minutes Cercadinho got a freekick which was hit by Enrique Gerber. Mugurel Zota made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 40th minute of play. Mugurel Zota didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. 47 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Valiente Venezian came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Izydor Domamir hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 65th minute of play forced Cercadinho's goalkeeper Mugurel Zota to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador's Luis Andino was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Mugurel Zota in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 67 minutes Cercadinho's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Cercadinho's Mugurel Zota managed to reach the ball for a save. William de Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abdulkadir Turay in the 85th minute of the match. After 93 played minutes Cercadinho got a freekick which was hit by Ricardinho Sousa. Izydor Domamir hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. The Cercadinho players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
