Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Amedeo Piermattei kicked off to start the match. In the 4th minute, Cristian Sancho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Josué Rego was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 7 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Amedeo Piermattei. 10 minutes into the match, Fortunato Marra had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fortunato Marra was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Zola Predosa FC's Oscar Delabarre in the 15th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Julio Vera was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Ecuador through an amazing save. Oscar Delabarre succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-1 in the 15th playminute. Amedeo Piermattei recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Josué Rego came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zola Predosa FC's Josué Rego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 36th minute of play. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Zola Predosa FC's Josué Rego managed to reach the ball for a save. The supporters of Zola Predosa FC booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Zorita didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Amedeo Piermattei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Amedeo Piermattei tried to sneak it across the goal line. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. Agustín Saelices received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Josué Rego tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amedeo Piermattei in the 55th minute of play. 57 minutes into the match, Zola Predosa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Josué Rego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zola Predosa FC's Hugo Flecken was substituted for Fortunato Marra. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Daniel Zorita slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Josué Rego. That made the score 2-3 after 61 minutes of play. 67 minutes into the game, Zola Predosa FC's Oscar Delabarre nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. In the 74th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Sancho to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Oscar Delabarre kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. After 79 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Luis Andino. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alvise Mascitti, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Josué Rego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Agustín Saelices fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ecuador's protests and gave Agustín Saelices a yellow card for diving instead. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 94th minute Cosimo Sciamanna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
