When the match had gone on for 3 minutes, Carlos Melo put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Carlos Melo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 8 minute of play. Carlos Melo in the 15thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Benito Sanz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 15 minutes, Alan Moruga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the Lofi Girl Portimao players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Alan Moruga hit a great ball. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Nuno Porto sent off a good shot on target. If Josué Esparteiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 22 minutes into the game, Nuno Porto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 25th minute, Lofi Girl Portimao's Nuno Porto dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Puig in the 29th minute of play forced Lofi Girl Portimao's goalkeeper Afonso Mourato to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute, Adam George fired a really elegant long shot, but Benito Sanz threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. In the 34thth minute of the game Nuno Porto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With his leg Benito Sanz managed to avoid a goal in the 39thth minute, when Lofi Girl Portimao's Carlos Melo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Lautaro Puig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Afonso Mourato tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Carlos Melo could shoot a difficult shot in the 44th minute, which Benito Sanz however easily saved by the left post. Nuno Porto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Benito Sanz made a huge save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Axel Tasis made a kick off. Lofi Girl Portimao's Alcides Porto was substituted for Januário Sá. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nuno Porto in the 63rd minute of play. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nuno Porto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 66th minute, Joaquim Matos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Melo, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. If Nuno Porto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nuno Porto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Aaron Alcocer hit a great ball. After 88 minutes, Abel Carballo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the Lofi Girl Portimao players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Abel Carballo got a free kick in the 88th minute. Alcides Porto took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 89th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. There was no doubt that Lofi Girl Portimao were the better team. Lofi Girl Portimao's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
