After a rather tough play, Colombia's Samuel Navarro got a free kick in the 7th minute. Guga Trancoso's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 10thth minute, Pedro Manzanares skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Kevin Mastache managed to get in a good position for a shot. Colombia's supporters rose to their feet, but Kevin Mastache was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iurie Chiriacescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Colombia booed when PIAUÍ FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Batista didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Guga Trancoso in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Manzanares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Iurie Chiriacescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kevin Mastache, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 27th play minutes Guga Trancoso shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Pedro Manzanares and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 31stth minute of the game Guga Trancoso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Colombia's Pedro Manzanares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Joaquim Ubiña kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Iurie Chiriacescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 34th minute of play. Iurie Chiriacescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. The PIAUÍ FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Iurie Chiriacescu should have stopped the shot. Samuel Navarro hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baturhan Oytun in the 57th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th minute, Axel Montenegro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Axel Montenegro got free with Iurie Chiriacescu in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abram Sarmiento in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iurie Chiriacescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Colombia fans' excitement grew in the 65th match minute when Colombia's Abram Sarmiento looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 71st minute, Víktor Santos made a precise shot to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. 74 minutes into the match, PIAUÍ FC's goal looked a bit too open when Abram Secada came free, but Iurie Chiriacescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Baturhan Oytun came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the PIAUÍ FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baturhan Oytun couldn't finish the play. Pascual Carballar hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baturhan Oytun in the 78th minute of the match. 81 minutes into the match, Baturhan Oytun notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Colombia's Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. PIAUÍ FC's Vladimir de Sena was substituted for Demis Katsarolidis. In the 85th minute Baturhan Oytun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 90 minutes into the game, Juninho Freitas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Pedro Manzanares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience was convinced that Ignacio Mastache's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Iurie Chiriacescu was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. PIAUÍ FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
