Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Tomas Berganza started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The supporters of Panama booed when Werneck FC - DMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Paulo Lara didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomas Berganza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Rafael Loyola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fernando Vinhas in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcos Cotilla prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Abraham Alguacil hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. After 20 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Isidoro Sarmiento. Rafael Loyola came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Panama's Tomas Berganza. But to his dismay, Tomas Berganza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Tomas Berganza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Loyola having to interfere. 34 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Mário Mendes came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Oséas Urbano's late challenge caught a Panama's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oséas Urbano helped the player get up and apologised. Aaron Barrios kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. The Werneck FC - DMZ players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Panama were winning 0-1.

A collision led to Werneck FC - DMZ getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Mário Mendes hit a great ball. If Tomas Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abraham Alguacil struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Rafael Loyola didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Panama. Rafael Loyola was a little too slow when Isidoro Sarmiento got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 68th minute. The score was now 0-2. After a rather tough play, Werneck FC - DMZ's Fernando Vinhas got a free kick in the 84th minute. When Tomas Berganza came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Panama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Berganza couldn't finish the play. Panama's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
