The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Trescientos's goalkeeper Pang Shi Bang, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Santa Lucia de Merlo's Doctor Paredes managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Edwards Williams in the 4 minute of the game. In the 8th minute, Alvaro Llorienzo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 13th minute, M. Agus Young ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pang Shi Bang was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. If Levan Poggenborg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th minute, M. Agus Young left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Santa Lucia de Merlo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. M. Agus Young's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pang Shi Bang read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. 25 minutes into the game, M. Agus Young cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Pang Shi Bang was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Pang Shi Bang showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from M. Agus Young, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. M. Agus Young sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Viteri Xavalera made in the 33rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Xabel Helica. If Levan Poggenborg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oscar Tiniebra hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. In the 43rd minute of the game Fernando Ribas made a throw-in which Xabel Helica played forward. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Feliberto Llorenc to make the kick off. In the 55th minute, Kong Chang Zheng got a good opportunity for a shot when Santa Lucia de Merlo was rewarded a free kick. Kong Chang Zheng was unable to take advantage of the situation as his shot went just outside the left post. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Trescientos's goalkeeper Pang Shi Bang, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Santa Lucia de Merlo's Polo Quinteros was substituted for M. Agus Young. The Santa Lucia de Merlo fans' excitement grew in the 80th match minute when Santa Lucia de Merlo's Polo Quinteros looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Polo Quinteros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pang Shi Bang having to interfere. If Polo Quinteros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 92 minutes in the game Bernardo Umaña did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Oscar Tiniebra. Pang Shi Bang came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Santa Lucia de Merlo's Polo Quinteros. But to his dismay, Polo Quinteros quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Santa Lucia de Merlo's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
