The FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt fans' excitement grew in the 6th match minute when FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's Luca Lechințan looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Åke Rudberg made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Costin Malcoci sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to FC Töve getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Ingmar Hellkvist hit a great ball. A hard shot 15 in the game by Costin Malcoci from a close distance when the talented Åke Rudberg managed to make a qualified save. FC Töve's players were relieved. In the 16th minute, FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's Luca Lechințan dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. After 19 minutes, Luca Lechințan made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. FC Töve's Åke Rudberg tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 22 minutes, Ingmar Hellkvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Töve's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ingmar Hellkvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 23 minutes, Åke Rudberg successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Åke Rudberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luca Lechințan, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Costin Malcocis short, quick shot in the 28thth minute got Åke Rudberg to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 32 minutes, Luca Lechințan made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. FC Töve's Åke Rudberg tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Costin Malcoci struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Åke Rudberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt. Costin Malcoci in the 37thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Åke Rudberg, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Costin Malcoci who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 38thth minute tested the skills of Åke Rudberg when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luca Lechințan in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Åke Rudberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 43rd minute, FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's Luca Lechințan ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Åke Rudberg. Åke Rudberg yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 6-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 6-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adrian Nasta was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt booed when FC Töve was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emil Palm didn't get a good kick on the ball. Åke Rudberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adrian Nasta's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. The audience was convinced that Ingmar Hellkvist's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lucrețiu Sfetcu was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Costin Malcoci in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Åke Rudberg saved FC Töve from getting behind. FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's Silviu Latarețu was substituted for Valer Perișoară. In the 68th minute, one of FC Töve:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC Töve. FC Töve:s Åke Rudberg showed great skill when he stopped Horia Chioreanu:s penalty. Lucrețiu Sfetcu made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Ingmar Hellkvist sent off a good shot on target. 77 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ove Wallgren was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Töve's players had a chance to rest. Adrian Nasta struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. In the 88th minute Silviu Latarețu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Åke Rudberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Åke Rudberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horia Chioreanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 91st minute, Horia Chioreanu made a precise shot to the right of Åke Rudberg. FC Töve's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. In the 94th minute, Horia Chioreanu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Åke Rudberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0.
