After 39 minutes La Scaloneta's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gustavo Birila who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Emiliano Nardo heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilberto Izel in the 41st minute of play forced Papillon AC's goalkeeper Jean Van Damme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gustavo Birila to make the kick off. With an all-out effort, La Scaloneta's Jean Van Damme threw himself towards the right post 53 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luca Messi, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Messi in the 70th minute of play forced Papillon AC's goalkeeper Jean Van Damme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Papillon AC's goalkeeper Jean Van Damme had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Enrique Rozarius.
