In the 18thth minute of the game Gilberto Izel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Santa Maradona's Jonathan Errapel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jonathan Errapel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrique Rozarius in the 22nd minute of play. Santa Maradona's Jonathan Errapel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilberto Izel in the 27th minute of play. If Enrique Rozarius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 36 minutes into the match, La Scaloneta's goal looked a bit too open when Rodolfo Cordeiro came free, but Franco Moscatelli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 38 minutes, Gilberto Izel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Scaloneta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gilberto Izel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. During the 48th minute of the match Nicanor Ramos completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Miguel Transito made the kick off in the second half. Jonathan Errapel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrique Rozarius in the 65th minute of play. Enrique Rozarius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Errapel having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Polat Aranda in the 82nd minute of play forced Santa Maradona's goalkeeper Jonathan Errapel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Enrique Rozarius sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, La Scaloneta's Vinícius Junior got a free kick in the 88th minute. In the 91st minute, Rodolfo Cordeiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Santa Maradona's Jonathan Errapel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrique Rozarius in the 99th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Santa Maradona players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
