Shi Li struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Igor Kelemen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Galati Harbour Cats. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ianis Man in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Igor Kelemen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Galati Harbour Cats's Octavian Soare proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Galati Harbour Cats from getting a goal against them. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's goalkeeper Igor Kelemen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Shi Li had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Igor Kelemen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shi Li in the 26th minute of play. Octavian Soare showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karl-Michael Brask, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Igor Kelemen came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Galati Harbour Cats's Shi Li. But to his dismay, Shi Li quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Shi Li in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Igor Kelemen saved Batalionul U23 Dorobanti from getting behind. Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Igor Kelemen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shi Li in the 35th minute of play. In the 38th minute Ianis Man shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Igor Kelemen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Shi Li had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Igor Kelemen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shi Li in the 39th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Galati Harbour Cats's zone, Wagner Doro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Octavian Soare came out of the goal and Wagner Doro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Karl-Michael Brask was the one to do the kick off. Igor Kelemen made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Shi Li sent off a good shot on target. With his leg Igor Kelemen managed to avoid a goal in the 56thth minute, when Galati Harbour Cats's Shi Li fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ernie Ball replaced Karl-Michael Brask. Igor Kelemen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Shi Li in the 62nd minute. In the 66th minute, Shi Li ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Igor Kelemen was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's goalkeeper Igor Kelemen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 73rd match minute, Batalionul U23 Dorobanti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paul Stoian to maneuver through the defense. Galati Harbour Cats's Petruț Iliuță was substituted for Valeriu Zdrobiş. The supporters of Galati Harbour Cats booed when Batalionul U23 Dorobanti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paul Stoian didn't get a good kick on the ball. Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Igor Kelemen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Batalionul U23 Dorobanti from getting a goal against them. When Galati Harbour Cats's Shi Li in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 77th minute of the match, Ianis Man tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Igor Kelemen saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 81 minutes into the game, Shi Li recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Igor Kelemen. Shi Li showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. The audience was convinced that Ianis Man's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Igor Kelemen was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. When the match clock showed 89 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Shi Li sped through Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Igor Kelemen. In the 93rd minute, Shi Li ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Igor Kelemen was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. 96 minutes into the match, Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's goal looked a bit too open when Shi Li came free, but Igor Kelemen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
