The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. White&Blue Lions-Stiinta-'s Codruț Hanganu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl-Michael Brask in the 3rd minute of play. Flavio Peter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Berbiz in the 7th minute of the match. Carlos Berbiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavio Peter having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Juanjo Carreño during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 11th match minute, White&Blue Lions-Stiinta- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juanjo Carreño to maneuver through the defense. Codruț Hanganu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl-Michael Brask, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's goalkeeper Flavio Peter, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Flavio Peter made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Mugurel Nediu sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Berbiz in the 19th minute of play forced Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's goalkeeper Flavio Peter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute Mugurel Nediu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Peter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 24 minutes Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was George Deac who took care of the corner kick. The corner led White&Blue Lions-Stiinta-'s Mugurel Nediu to fire away a dangerous shot which Flavio Peter despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Xiao Fan Jing kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Flavio Peter. That made the score 1-0 in the 26 minute of play. Karl-Michael Brask might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Codruț Hanganu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Karl-Michael Brask ran back to his position shaking his head. Codruț Hanganu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl-Michael Brask in the 29th minute of play. Blagoy Doro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Codruț Hanganu having to interfere. In the 38th minute Carlos Berbiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Peter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Codruț Hanganu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karl-Michael Brask, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. The audience was convinced that Karl-Michael Brask's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Codruț Hanganu was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. Magne Wenerdahl recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 43rd minute Magne Wenerdahl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Peter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Flavio Peter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Berbiz in the 44th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Xiao Fan Jing to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Xiao Fan Jing's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Flavio Peter was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. Flavio Peter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mugurel Nediu in the 57th minute of play. A collision led to White&Blue Lions-Stiinta- getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Kajetan Ruszkowski hit a great ball. Karl-Michael Brask sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Karl-Michael Brask blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Codruț Hanganu having to make a save. If Carlos Berbiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Flavio Peter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Berbiz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. White&Blue Lions-Stiinta-'s Codruț Hanganu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save White&Blue Lions-Stiinta- from getting a goal against them. Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Flavio Peter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Magne Wenerdahl in the 88th minute of play. Flavio Peter didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mugurel Nediu went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. In the 93rdth minute of the game Mugurel Nediu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Flavio Peter was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mugurel Nediu in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Flavio Peter saved Batalionul U23 Dorobanti from getting behind. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. White&Blue Lions-Stiinta- fully deserved thier win.
