Remus Pinczewski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Umur Renan, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Ruscova's goalkeeper Helmuth Duckadam, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Remus Pinczewski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from René Orságh, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. 16 minutes into the game, Tiberiu Caramarin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Helmuth Duckadam was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpected shot in the 21st minute by Nicodim Orășan got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 22nd match minute, MIT was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Radu Sărăroiu to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to MIT getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Radu Sărăroiu hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zachary Snaza in the 24th minute of play forced MIT's goalkeeper Remus Pinczewski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Remus Pinczewski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from René Orságh, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Tiberiu Caramarin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Helmuth Duckadam read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. Remus Pinczewski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciro Cortez in the 33rd minute of play. Helmuth Duckadam made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Tiberiu Caramarin sent off a good shot on target. Tạ Kling kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Helmuth Duckadam took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiberiu Caramarin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. MIT's Dinu Grigoroiu managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Glauco Motta in the 39 minute of the game. In the 41st minute Tiberiu Caramarin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Helmuth Duckadam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Remus Pinczewski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zachary Snaza in the 43rd minute of play. René Orságh scored 1-2 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Remus Pinczewski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 47 minutes into the match, MIT's goal looked a bit too open when Zachary Snaza came free, but Remus Pinczewski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

In the 54th minute Tiberiu Caramarin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Helmuth Duckadam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 56 minutes into the match, FC Ruscova's goal looked a bit too open when Tiberiu Caramarin came free, but Helmuth Duckadam reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ciro Cortez got free with Remus Pinczewski in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match clock showed 60 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Tiberiu Caramarin sped through FC Ruscova's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Helmuth Duckadam. MIT's Remus Pinczewski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by René Orságh in the 63rd minute of play. Helmuth Duckadam showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiberiu Caramarin, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Helmuth Duckadam showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiberiu Caramarin in the 66th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, FC Ruscova's goal looked a bit too open when Tiberiu Caramarin came free, but Helmuth Duckadam reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The tension between the MIT and the FC Ruscova players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of FC Ruscova booed when MIT was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romeo Gherghescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 92 played minutes FC Ruscova got a freekick which was hit by Glauco Motta. In the 93rd minute of the match Ivan Vâtcă shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Helmuth Duckadam showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When MIT's Tiberiu Caramarin in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Ruscova's goalie prevented a goal. FC Ruscova were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
