In a very dangerous position, a player in Galati Harbour Cats fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 8th minute. Penalty! 13 minutes into the match, Galati Harbour Cats's goal looked a bit too open when Tiberiu Caramarin came free, but Octavian Soare reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Galati Harbour Cats's Octavian Soare played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiberiu Caramarin in the 16th minute of play. When Tiberiu Caramarin came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the MIT fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tiberiu Caramarin couldn't finish the play. Calistrat Madgearu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Onurhan Çinuçin in the 31st minute of the match. Tiberiu Caramarin took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Octavian Soare. Octavian Soare dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 38th minute Tiberiu Caramarin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octavian Soare saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Octavian Soare showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiberiu Caramarin in the 47th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Tiberiu Caramarin made the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute, Onurhan Çinuçin made a precise shot to the right of Calistrat Madgearu.
