The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ivan Chiuzbaian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sami Zübeyr in the 3rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s zone, Sami Zübeyr stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivan Chiuzbaian came out of the goal and Sami Zübeyr tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zhao Sen Yang could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Tristan Falco made a huge save. Zhao Sen Yang's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tristan Falco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Ivan Chiuzbaian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sabin Miclauș in the 15th minute of play. After 28 played minutes Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Grigore Maghiran. Sami Zübeyr might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ivan Chiuzbaian. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sami Zübeyr ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 29th minute Sami Zübeyr shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Chiuzbaian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, Zhao Sen Yang dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Tristan Falco, 1-0. Zhao Sen Yang received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Tristan Falco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 40th minute, Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Zhao Sen Yang ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tristan Falco. Tristan Falco yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

In the 59th minute, Zhao Sen Yang made a precise shot to the right of Tristan Falco. FC Maci -MM-'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. FC Maci -MM-'s Tristan Falco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zhao Sen Yang in the 64th minute of play. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Emil Wielopolski was substituted for Grigore Maghiran. After 67 minutes FC Maci -MM-'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Olov Ahlbeck who took care of the corner kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Petre Iftode in the 69th minute of play forced FC Maci -MM-'s goalkeeper Tristan Falco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 72 minutes, Primitivo Grau managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Primitivo Grau was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 75th minute Sami Zübeyr shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Chiuzbaian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to FC Maci -MM- getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Valentin Voicu hit a great ball. FC Maci -MM- made a substitution. Gelu Bâru replaced Dieter Nisipeanu. Tristan Falco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. In the 88th match minute, FC Maci -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sabin Miclauș to maneuver through the defense. FC Maci -MM-'s Tristan Falco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Primitivo Grau in the 90th minute of play. When the match clock showed 90 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Primitivo Grau sped through FC Maci -MM-'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tristan Falco. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Maci -MM-'s Sami Zübeyr slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ivan Chiuzbaian. That made the score 5-1 after 93 minutes of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- fully deserved thier win.
