The supporters of Ecuador booed when São Paulo da Floresta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Paulo Linhares didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zé Augusto Paiva hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. In the 11th minute, Daniel Zorita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 15th match minute, São Paulo da Floresta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernard Sierocki to maneuver through the defense. Teodoro Jacinto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. After 17 minutes São Paulo da Floresta's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Ecuador's Luis Andino was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Teodoro Jacinto in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 18 minutes São Paulo da Floresta's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Ecuador's Juan Sebastián Puig to fire away a dangerous shot which Teodoro Jacinto despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Teodoro Jacinto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Luís Paulo Linhares could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. 28 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Bernard Sierocki came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute, São Paulo da Floresta's Bernard Sierocki dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. 43 minutes into the match, São Paulo da Floresta's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Teodoro Jacinto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. Teodoro Jacinto was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cristian Sancho showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 51 minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bernard Sierocki in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. After 57 played minutes São Paulo da Floresta got a freekick which was hit by Luís Paulo Linhares. 59 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 1-5, to the right of São Paulo da Floresta's Teodoro Jacinto. Teodoro Jacinto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 69th match minute, São Paulo da Floresta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Epifanio Cebrian to maneuver through the defense. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Teodoro Jacinto made a huge save. São Paulo da Floresta's defense didn't have a chance, in the 74th minute, when Daniel Zorita scored to the left of an out of position Teodoro Jacinto, making the score, 1-6. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Paulo Linhares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 80th match minute, São Paulo da Floresta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Epifanio Cebrian to maneuver through the defense. In the 83rd minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Felix Montenegro heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Primitivo Andino got a free kick in the 87th minute. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than São Paulo da Floresta.
