Waclaw Galagan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 5th match minute, MS Rybnik was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Janusz Bobrowski to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 7 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Janusz Bobrowski hit a great ball. 16 minutes into the game, Luis Andino cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Waclaw Galagan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Waclaw Galagan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 25th minute of play. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Edward Walentowicz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Waclaw Galagan in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Daniel Zorita scored 0-3 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Waclaw Galagan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 44th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Montes to maneuver through the defense. If Miromir Setara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

After 52 played minutes MS Rybnik got a freekick which was hit by Tytus Karanewski. The crowd rose to their feet as Daniel Zorita kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Waclaw Galagan. That made the score 0-5 in the 61 minute of play. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Walentowicz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. During the 68th minute of the match Stasio Oborski completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Stasio Oborski a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to MS Rybnik getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Stasio Oborski hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustín Saelices in the 72nd minute of play forced MS Rybnik's goalkeeper Waclaw Galagan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Waclaw Galagan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. Edward Walentowicz hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. After 80 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 0-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Waclaw Galagan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Waclaw Galagan. Waclaw Galagan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-9. In the 93rd minute, Daniel Zorita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-10. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
