Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Jaime Pardo started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. If Robert Covaliu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paraguay's Jaime Pardo got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gigel Paveliuc received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jacobo Nores came out and tried to block the shot, but Gigel Paveliuc slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 11th minute. Paraguay's Hector Covarrubias managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Alin Moiș in the 19 minute of the game. After 20 played minutes ⚽RAE⚽ got a freekick which was hit by Horaţiu Găină. After a defensive mix-up in ⚽RAE⚽'s zone, Jaime Pardo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Toader Cojan came out of the goal and Jaime Pardo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Jaime Pardo came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Paraguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaime Pardo couldn't finish the play. When Raul Venegas fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Paraguay's protests and gave Raul Venegas a yellow card for diving instead. Robert Covaliu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Jacobo Nores made a huge save. ⚽RAE⚽ were awarded a corner in the 34th minute after Paraguay's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Damian Oneț took the corner. Maxim Șerbulea hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. In the 44th minute, Robert Covaliu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Robert Covaliu was the one to do the kick off. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damian Oneț in the 57th minute of play. Gigel Paveliuc charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gigel Paveliuc the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 59 played minutes ⚽RAE⚽ got a freekick which was hit by Gigel Paveliuc. Paraguay's Jaime Pardo got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robert Covaliu in the 62nd minute of play forced Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robert Covaliu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paraguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hector Covarrubias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Damian Oneț had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, ⚽RAE⚽'s Gigel Paveliuc got a free kick in the 81st minute. 82 minutes into the game, Jaime Pardo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Toader Cojan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gigel Paveliuc received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Jacobo Nores tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 91 minutes into the match, Paraguay's goal looked a bit too open when Gigel Paveliuc came free, but Jacobo Nores reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Hector Covarrubias fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Paraguay's protests and gave Hector Covarrubias a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of ⚽RAE⚽ booed when Paraguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hector Covarrubias didn't get a good kick on the ball. ⚽RAE⚽ succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Paraguay had controlled the match.
