Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The Ecuador fans' excitement grew in the 3rd match minute when Ecuador's Daniel Zorita looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Edgard Abascal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Felix Montenegro went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the AFC FUSION defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edgard Abascal. The AFC FUSION fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edgard Abascal should have stopped the shot. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Edgard Abascal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edgard Abascal came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Felix Montenegro. But to his dismay, Felix Montenegro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. In the 16th minute, Daniel Zorita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Edgard Abascal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Felix Montenegro scored 0-7 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edgard Abascal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ecuador's Agustín Saelices got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind AFC FUSION's goalkeeper Edgard Abascal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cristian Sancho might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edgard Abascal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Sancho ran back to his position shaking his head. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristian Sancho took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edgard Abascal. Edgard Abascal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-8. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 34th minute of play forced AFC FUSION's goalkeeper Edgard Abascal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind AFC FUSION's goalkeeper Edgard Abascal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. A collision led to AFC FUSION getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Ciro Lando hit a great ball. If Agustín Saelices had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 45 minutes into the match, AFC FUSION's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Edgard Abascal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edgard Abascal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 46th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Juan Sebastián Puig managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Juan Sebastián Puig was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edgard Abascal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-8 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 60th minute, AFC FUSION's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Ciro Lando's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ciro Lando helped the player get up and apologised. 64 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edgard Abascal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-12. In the 67th match minute, AFC FUSION was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benicio Senen to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Edgard Abascal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 72 minutes had been played when some careless play by AFC FUSION's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. A very nice done corner allowed Luis Andino to score against Edgard Abascal in AFC FUSION's goal. 0-13 after 72 minutes. 76 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edgard Abascal. AFC FUSION's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-14. If Felix Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 89 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Edgard Abascal. Cristian Sancho showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-16. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgard Abascal having to interfere. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Edgard Abascal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than AFC FUSION throughout the match.
