Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Daniel Zorita took the kick off in the first half of the match. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tacettin Umay struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Symba. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Symba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Javier Frost didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Muhammad Bejaoui fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Symba's protests and gave Muhammad Bejaoui a yellow card for diving instead. In the 18th minute Agustín Saelices shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anis Achour saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Tomás San Juan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Symba's Anis Achour played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 28th minute of play. Anis Achour took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sílvio Veiga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anis Achour having to interfere. Orlando Queirós hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Symba's goalkeeper Anis Achour, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 61st minute, Sílvio Veiga ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Daniel Zorita scored 1-2 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Anis Achour, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. Tomás San Juan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 79th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Daniel Zorita kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Anis Achour. That made the score 1-3 in the 82 minute of play. If Sílvio Veiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Symba's Sílvio Veiga. But to his dismay, Sílvio Veiga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sílvio Veiga's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. In the 94th minute, Gus Wootton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ecuador played a much better game than Symba and deserved their victory. The Symba players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
