Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Neale Franklin got the match started through his kick off. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Manly FC's zone, Patricio Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Case Tisdell came out of the goal and Patricio Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Case Tisdell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. Manly FC's Case Tisdell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 13th minute of play. Munroe Brien kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. After 21 minutes of play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Case Tisdell was left in no man's land by his defense there! Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Case Tisdell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 28 minutes into the match, Tomas Illescas notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Manly FC's Case Tisdell. Case Tisdell was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Manly FC's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Case Tisdell came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 37 minutes in the game Camilo Gaos did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Tomas Illescas. Joshua Secada came free in the 40th minute and tried to tip the ball over Case Tisdell, but to the joy of Manly FC's supporters the ball went over. Guillermo Mariano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Case Tisdell read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. After 46 minutes of play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Case Tisdell was left in no man's land by his defense there! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A throw-in in the 60th minute of the game was made by Guillermo Mariano with Tomas Illescas as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Case Tisdell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 65 played minutes Manly FC got a freekick which was hit by Munroe Brien. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Case Tisdell having to interfere. 80 minutes into the game, Patricio Costa recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Case Tisdell. Patricio Costa showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. 83 minutes into the match, Manly FC's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Costa came free, but Case Tisdell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guillermo Mariano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Manly FC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Stan Peplow hit a great ball. Neale Franklin hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. The Manly FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Venezuela were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
