Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Omurtag Púrvulov in the 17th minute. In the 19th minute, Luca Zorita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Delyan Partinov in the 20th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Slavey Dochevski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stanislav Búlgarov in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dante Lacasa saved Mexico from getting behind. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Slavey Dochevski having to interfere. In the 32nd minute, Alberto Tafalla left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 34 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stanislav Búlgarov. Slavey Dochevski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. With 43 minutes on the clock, Ronaldinho Gaúcho commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Stanislav Búlgarov to strike the kick off in the second half. Slavey Dochevski made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Alberto Tafalla sent off a good shot on target. After 65 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Luca Zorita. After 67 played minutes Blue avalanche got a freekick which was hit by Omurtag Púrvulov. Seymour Coffman kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Slavey Dochevski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Jonny Gaeta hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Mexico's Luca Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 77 minutes into the match, Blue avalanche's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Slavey Dochevski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 80thth minute of the game Joel Gaona who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Blue avalanche's Slavey Dochevski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 81st minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Blue avalanche's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 84th minute Delyan Partinov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mark Täman kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. In the 87th minute of the match, Joel Gaona got a very nice opportunity to score, but Slavey Dochevski was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 89th minute of the match, Joel Gaona tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Slavey Dochevski saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Delyan Partinov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Lautaro Mancebo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. The Mexico supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Mexico would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
