In the 17th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Snorlax FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tancredo Manguyague showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 21st minute of the match. In the 22nd minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tancredo Manguyague saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lorencio Smith hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. 24 minutes into the match, Snorlax FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luca Zorita came free, but Tancredo Manguyague reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Snorlax FC's Jose Manuel Hernández got a free kick in the 27th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 31st minute of play forced Snorlax FC's goalkeeper Tancredo Manguyague to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Snorlax FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Tancredo Manguyague reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto Tafalla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luca Rouco hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mario Jesus Allu made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Lautaro Mancebo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tancredo Manguyague breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tancredo Manguyague made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 56th minute. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tibalt Bruna in the 61st minute of play. 63 minutes into the match, Snorlax FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luca Zorita came free, but Tancredo Manguyague reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Tancredo Manguyague in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Snorlax FC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Sergio Rosas hit a great ball. Snorlax FC's Tancredo Manguyague played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 78th minute of play. After 78 minutes of play, Mexico's Joel Gaona made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tancredo Manguyague was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 82nd minute, Mario Jesus Allu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lautaro Mancebo might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tancredo Manguyague. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lautaro Mancebo ran back to his position shaking his head. Luca Zorita struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Tancredo Manguyague didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. Lautaro Mancebo kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Facundo Cadaval hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mario Jesus Allu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 92 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mexico's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mario Jesus Allu was slow to take the kick. During this time Snorlax FC's players had a chance to rest. Snorlax FC's Tancredo Manguyague proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Snorlax FC from getting a goal against them. 95 minutes into the match, Lautaro Mancebo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Tancredo Manguyague, 0-2. Mexico's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
