An unexpectedly hard shot by Sten Andrejević in the 4th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 8 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Sten Andrejević came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert got a free kick in the 9th minute. If Sten Andrejević had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sten Andrejević's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joaquin Gayoso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. In the 16th minute, ROSÁRIO SPORT's Sten Andrejević dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Joaquin Gayoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sten Andrejević, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sten Andrejević might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joaquin Gayoso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sten Andrejević ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 26th minute Sten Andrejević shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sten Andrejević received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Joaquin Gayoso came out and tried to block the shot, but Sten Andrejević slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 30th minute. A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Kevin Carballal hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Uruguay's zone, Alexandros Krieser stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joaquin Gayoso came out of the goal and Alexandros Krieser tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 37 minutes into the match, Sten Andrejević had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Uruguay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sten Andrejević was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. After 40 minutes of play, ROSÁRIO SPORT's Sten Andrejević made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joaquin Gayoso was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Sten Andrejević had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. ROSÁRIO SPORT's Luiz Corrêa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 45th minute of play. After 48 minutes Uruguay's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alexandros Krieser who took care of the corner kick. Dean Harvey kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Francisco Seco to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Arturo Carvallo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sten Andrejević fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Gayoso having to interfere. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind ROSÁRIO SPORT's goalkeeper Luiz Corrêa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Alberto Gisbert managed to get in a good position for a shot. Uruguay's supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto Gisbert was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luiz Corrêa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Arturo Carvallo got a free kick in the 69th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sten Andrejević in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquin Gayoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 86 minutes into the match, ROSÁRIO SPORT's Sten Andrejević sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joaquin Gayoso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Luiz Corrêa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Francisco Seco in the 88th minute. In the 88th minute, Camilo Franco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 91 minutes, Sten Andrejević made it 7-0 with a short kick to the right side. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 95 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Sten Andrejević came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 96 minutes into the game, Sten Andrejević cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0.
