Harsh Gods's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Tomas Lain could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. The supporters of Harsh Gods booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lorenzo Cazalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 73rd minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Harsh Gods's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 79 played minutes Harsh Gods got a freekick which was hit by Roberto Carlos. Harsh Gods's Gersi Snabe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Harsh Gods from getting a goal against them. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Harsh Gods's goalkeeper Gersi Snabe, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
