An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrea De Toro in the 32nd minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rolando Noboa came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Hummerfiskarna's Andrea De Toro. But to his dismay, Andrea De Toro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Hummerfiskarna's Holger Mattsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 38th minute of play. Holger Mattsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luz Tejedor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nils-Åke Lagerberg in the 45th minute of the match. Karl-Michael Bergfelt hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

50 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Bolli Bolla came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 55th minute Arnaldo Queirós shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bolli Bolla in the 56th minute of play. Rolando Noboa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bolli Bolla went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. A sloppy throw-in by Bjarte Paul in the 60th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Anthony Alvarado. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Arnaldo Queirós put it in 3-2 from a short distance just to the right of Rolando Noboa. Arnaldo Queirós's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rolando Noboa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. In the 72nd minute Arnaldo Queirós shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julian Murillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hummerfiskarna's Rickard Malmström was substituted for Bjarte Paul. Peru's Julian Murillo got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Holger Mattsson, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Holger Mattsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Gallo in the 94th minute of play. Holger Mattsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antonio Tenorio in the 95th minute of the match. Many of Peru's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Peru may have spent more time on the ball, but Hummerfiskarna were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
