Benito Sanz was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Maximino Lesardo. Alan Moruga kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Maximino Lesardo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 10th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Niceto Urritz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Fermin Cuarto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 34 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Javier Ritchie. When Niceto Urritz fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Forever Tango's protests and gave Niceto Urritz a yellow card for diving instead. In the 37th minute, Niceto Urritz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Noboa in the 38th minute of play forced Forever Tango's goalkeeper Fermin Cuarto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Santana got free with Benito Sanz in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 43rd minute, Carlos Santana ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The wind increased when Axel Tasis made the kick off in the second half. Axel Tasis might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fermin Cuarto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Axel Tasis ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 56th minute Costa Rica were awarded a corner. Axel Tasis went to the cornerflag to take it. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Aaron Alcocer hit a great ball. In the 62nd minute, Cipriano Balendin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Santana in the 65th minute of the match. In the 68th minute Gonzalo Monte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fermin Cuarto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseo Noboa in the 71st minute of the match. In the 71st minute, Eliseo Noboa made a precise shot to the right of Fermin Cuarto. Forever Tango's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niceto Urritz in the 77th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 79 minutes, Fermin Cuarto successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Niceto Urritz struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Forever Tango. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Santana, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. A collision led to Forever Tango getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Cipriano Balendin hit a great ball. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Santana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle went the supporters of Costa Rica were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Forever Tango side.
