Patrik Beaton's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ignatius Casasola read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. In the 18th minute SLB TELHA were awarded a corner. Noel Marinho went to the cornerflag to take it. Bento Ribeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. The supporters of Garanhão do SUL booed when SLB TELHA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hildeberto Cortez didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Akis Kefallinos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Garanhão do SUL's supporters rose to their feet, but Akis Kefallinos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lisandro Festas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 28th minute SLB TELHA were awarded a corner. Noel Marinho went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Noel Marinho got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ignatius Casasola quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Garanhão do SUL's defense didn't have a chance, in the 32nd minute, when Patrik Beaton scored to the left of an out of position Ignatius Casasola, making the score, 1-2. 35 minutes into the match, SLB TELHA's Patrik Beaton sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ignatius Casasola narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some careless play in the Garanhão do SUL defense, Patrik Beaton kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ignatius Casasola. The Garanhão do SUL fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ignatius Casasola should have stopped the shot. Patrik Beaton struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Ignatius Casasola didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SLB TELHA. 44 minutes into the match, SLB TELHA's goal looked a bit too open when Virgílio Teves came free, but Lisandro Festas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SLB TELHA's Noel Marinho got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After some careless play in the Garanhão do SUL defense, Patrik Beaton kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ignatius Casasola. The Garanhão do SUL fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ignatius Casasola should have stopped the shot. In the 57th match minute, SLB TELHA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hildeberto Cortez to maneuver through the defense. SLB TELHA's Lisandro Festas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save SLB TELHA from getting a goal against them. Lisandro Festas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Torcato Rebocho in the 63rd minute of play. In the 65th minute, Patrik Beaton made a precise shot to the right of Ignatius Casasola. Garanhão do SUL's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-2. If Patrik Beaton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute.
