In the 36th minute Israel Carvalhal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ignatius Casasola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. booed when Garanhão do SUL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position.
