In the 7th minute Pál Polyák shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ignatius Casasola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pál Polyák in the 8th minute of play forced Garanhão do SUL's goalkeeper Ignatius Casasola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Garanhão do SUL's Torcato Rebocho in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SITIO CITY's goalie prevented a goal. Ignatius Casasola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pál Polyák in the 13th minute of play. Cristiano Lage showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgar Costa in the 20th minute of the match. Garanhão do SUL's defense didn't have a chance, in the 22nd minute, when Pál Polyák scored to the left of an out of position Ignatius Casasola, making the score, 1-0. The audience was convinced that Edgar Costa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cristiano Lage was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. In the 29th minute, Garanhão do SUL's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Pál Polyák fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edgar Costa was the one to do the kick off. Pál Polyák might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ignatius Casasola. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cassiano Telinhos couldn't finish the play.
