The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gino Velasco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juninho Paulista in the 3rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Romando Futebol Clube's zone, Gabriel Vinhas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rubén-Osvaldo Cousillas came out of the goal and Gabriel Vinhas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rubén-Osvaldo Cousillas was a little too slow when Gabriel Vinhas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 16th minute. The score was now 1-0. Niva Bellido's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gino Velasco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. After 28 minutes of play, Romando Futebol Clube's André Sundström made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gino Velasco was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 33rd minute Niva Bellido shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gino Velasco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Sundström in the 35th minute of play forced Relyn Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Gino Velasco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Niva Bellido blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gino Velasco having to make a save. 36 minutes into the match, Relyn Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Niva Bellido came free, but Gino Velasco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Raimundo Faria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rubén-Osvaldo Cousillas having to interfere. In the 39th match minute, Relyn Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raimundo Faria to maneuver through the defense. Gino Velasco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niva Bellido, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. After a rather tough play, Romando Futebol Clube's Ubaldo Maillard got a free kick in the 44th minute. In the 47th minute Gabriel Vinhas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rubén-Osvaldo Cousillas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Ubaldo Maillard made in the 51st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Relyn Futebol Clube's Namık Kemal Baytüze. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Gabriel Vinhas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Relyn Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Gabriel Vinhas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rubén-Osvaldo Cousillas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 55 played minutes Romando Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Niva Bellido. Rubén-Osvaldo Cousillas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriel Vinhas in the 56th minute of the match. Rubén-Osvaldo Cousillas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Vinhas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A very good chance for a goal. 87 minutes into the match, Romando Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Vinhas came free, but Rubén-Osvaldo Cousillas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Romando Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Ubaldo Maillard hit a great ball. Angelito Di Maria lost his temper 94 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Romando Futebol Clube eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
