Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Trindade Atlético Club's Aaron Cortez got a free kick in the 13th minute. 14 minutes into the match, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Lucio Siekkötter sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tiaguinho Correia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 16 minutes Trindade Atlético Club's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Lei Feng Yan who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Lei Feng Yan almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Trindade Atlético Club's Tiaguinho Correia did a great save. Tiaguinho Correia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Faustão Châton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tiaguinho Correia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renato Augusto in the 22nd minute of play. Lucio Siekkötter scored 0-1 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tiaguinho Correia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 32 minutes into the match, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Daniel Owsiak sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tiaguinho Correia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dagoberto Dracena's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aurelio Walme read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Lucio Siekkötter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tiaguinho Correia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Owsiak, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. 41 minutes into the match, Trindade Atlético Club's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Owsiak came free, but Tiaguinho Correia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Dagoberto Dracena kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Aurelio Walme. That made the score 1-1 in the 42 minute of play. After 47 played minutes S.E.R. Caxias do Sul got a freekick which was hit by Dávid Blažek.

52 minutes into the game, Renato Augusto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Tiaguinho Correia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 56th minute of the match, Lucio Siekkötter got a very nice opportunity to score, but Tiaguinho Correia was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After a rather tough play, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Ricardinho de Senna got a free kick in the 57th minute. 58 minutes into the match, Trindade Atlético Club's Dagoberto Dracena sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aurelio Walme narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Aurelio Walme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dagoberto Dracena in the 61st minute of play. Trindade Atlético Club's Ruperto Emenon was substituted for Dragoş Vâtcu. Tiaguinho Correia came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Daniel Owsiak. But to his dismay, Daniel Owsiak quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. After having played for 77 minutes, Róbson Couto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Trindade Atlético Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Róbson Couto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Róbson Couto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aurelio Walme read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. In the 88th minute of the match Trindade Atlético Club got a corner. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Falcão de Barros ran over to the corner to take the kick. Falcão de Barros made a great header on Trindade Atlético Club's corner, it was just that S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Aurelio Walme managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Owsiak in the 91st minute of play forced Trindade Atlético Club's goalkeeper Tiaguinho Correia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Trindade Atlético Club manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing S.E.R. Caxias do Sul to win.
