Tiaguinho Correia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abel de Godoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 16 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Róbson Couto sped through Olivedos's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Yuri da Cunha. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dragoş Vâtcu in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Yuri da Cunha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tiaguinho Correia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abel de Godoi in the 20th minute of play. After 23 played minutes Trindade Atlético Club got a freekick which was hit by Teodoro Vaz. After 25 played minutes Trindade Atlético Club got a freekick which was hit by Falcão de Barros. After a rather tough play, Trindade Atlético Club's Aaron Cortez got a free kick in the 28th minute. After 32 played minutes, Olivedos's Magno Sampaio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tiaguinho Correia came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Olivedos reached it. 34 minutes into the match, Olivedos's goalkeeper Yuri da Cunha had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aaron Cortez. The supporters of Olivedos booed when Trindade Atlético Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Róbson Couto didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 40 played minutes Trindade Atlético Club got a freekick which was hit by Teodoro Vaz. Tiaguinho Correia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luisinho Ceresso in the 41st minute of the match. Olivedos's Yuri da Cunha proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Olivedos from getting a goal against them. When Falcão de Barros fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Trindade Atlético Club's protests and gave Falcão de Barros a yellow card for diving instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abel de Godoi in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tiaguinho Correia saved Trindade Atlético Club from getting behind. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Róbson Couto to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dragoş Vâtcu in the 51st minute of play forced Olivedos's goalkeeper Yuri da Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 55 minutes into the match, Olivedos's goal looked a bit too open when Róbson Couto came free, but Yuri da Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ricardinho Vianna hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Trindade Atlético Club's Tiaguinho Correia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Trindade Atlético Club from getting a goal against them. In the 60th minute Dragoş Vâtcu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yuri da Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
