Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Owsiak in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Egun Pais prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 19th match minute, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucio Siekkötter to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Renato Augusto in the 21st minute of play forced Floresta Negra FC's goalkeeper Egun Pais to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 26 minutes into the match, Floresta Negra FC's Andy Cole sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aurelio Walme narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Harris Zoolingen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aurelio Walme having to interfere. 83 minutes into the match, Floresta Negra FC's goalkeeper Egun Pais had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Renato Augusto. Jardel Lewandowski struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Aurelio Walme didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Floresta Negra FC. In the 87thth minute of the game Jardel Lewandowski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Aurelio Walme was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
