After having played for 16 minutes, Dagoberto Dracena managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Trindade Atlético Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dagoberto Dracena was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rodriguinho Sousa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dagoberto Dracena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. ATHLETICO PRaiano's attentive Vilhelm Skoog managed to snatch the ball when Korhan Kutalmış made a throw-in in the 24th minute of the game. In the 25th minute, Deilmison van Basten left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ATHLETICO PRaiano fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Valentin Blomkvist hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. If Dagoberto Dracena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rodriguinho Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dagoberto Dracena in the 31st minute of play. After 35 minutes of play, ATHLETICO PRaiano's Deilmison van Basten made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tiaguinho Correia was left in no man's land by his defense there! The throw-in from Korhan Kutalmış in the 40th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by ATHLETICO PRaiano's Denílson Magalhães. Korhan Kutalmış made in the 42nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Falcão de Barros. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Deilmison van Basten to make the kick off. In the 54th minute Deilmison van Basten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiaguinho Correia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rodriguinho Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dagoberto Dracena in the 57th minute of the match. Trindade Atlético Club's Tiaguinho Correia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Deilmison van Basten in the 60th minute of play. Tiaguinho Correia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Deilmison van Basten, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Trindade Atlético Club's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because ATHLETICO PRaiano had won, even though Trindade Atlético Club had held more of the ball.
