With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lei Feng Yan in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tiaguinho Correia saved Trindade Atlético Club from getting behind. 48 minutes into the game, Trindade Atlético Club's Dagoberto Dracena nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aurelio Walme made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dagoberto Dracena was the one to do the kick off. Tarcisio Mangueira hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Ricardinho de Senna hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. In the 61st minute of the match Trindade Atlético Club got a corner. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Korhan Kutalmış ran over to the corner to take the kick. The audience was convinced that Renato Augusto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tiaguinho Correia was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. Tiaguinho Correia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renato Augusto, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Aurelio Walme dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Trindade Atlético Club for a fine match.
