Egun Pais showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robustiano Clementi in the 4th minute of the match. Dudu Magalhães's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Egun Pais read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. Andy Cole might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ronaldo de Moraes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Andy Cole ran back to his position shaking his head. Robustiano Clementi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Egun Pais having to make a save. Egun Pais came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Vista Alegre FC's Dudu Magalhães. But to his dismay, Dudu Magalhães quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 22 minutes into the match, Vista Alegre FC's goal looked a bit too open when Andy Cole came free, but Ronaldo de Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Vista Alegre FC's Dudu Magalhães sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Egun Pais narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Egun Pais came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Vista Alegre FC's Dudu Magalhães. But to his dismay, Dudu Magalhães quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Ronaldo de Moraes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andy Cole's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Andy Cole's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ronaldo de Moraes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Primitivo Ibar kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 40th minute, but Ronaldo de Moraes got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Vista Alegre FC hanging dry this time. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Andy Cole managed to get in a good position for a shot. Floresta Negra FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Andy Cole was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ronaldo de Moraes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Egun Pais took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robustiano Clementi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Floresta Negra FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vista Alegre FC the free kick. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dudu Magalhães stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dudu Magalhães struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Egun Pais didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vista Alegre FC. In the 57th minute of the match, Robustiano Clementi tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Egun Pais saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After some careless play in the Vista Alegre FC defense, Andy Cole kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ronaldo de Moraes. The Vista Alegre FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ronaldo de Moraes should have stopped the shot. 62 minutes into the game, Floresta Negra FC's Andy Cole nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ronaldo de Moraes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Floresta Negra FC's Alexsandro Mandrak was substituted for Guto Gamarra. Floresta Negra FC's Filcho Dzhagarov was substituted for Jerzy Zjawin. Hector Bazkoare kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. A collision led to Floresta Negra FC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Hector Bazkoare hit a great ball. Floresta Negra FC's Egun Pais proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Floresta Negra FC from getting a goal against them. In the 74th minute, Jardel Lewandowski made a precise shot to the right of Ronaldo de Moraes. Vista Alegre FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. Floresta Negra FC's Egun Pais played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Norberto de Azevedo in the 79th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Jardel Lewandowski put it in 4-2 from a short distance just to the right of Ronaldo de Moraes. Jardel Lewandowski blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ronaldo de Moraes having to make a save. Ronaldo de Moraes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jardel Lewandowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 96th minute, Jardel Lewandowski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ronaldo de Moraes was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-2. For all the effort they put into the match, the Vista Alegre FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Floresta Negra FC.
