With a little luck, Romando Futebol Clube's Rubén-Osvaldo Cousillas got control of the ball when Andy Cole tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Floresta Negra FC's goalkeeper Egun Pais, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valdomiro de Godoi couldn't finish the play. Floresta Negra FC's Alexsandro Mandrak was substituted for Guto Gamarra. Floresta Negra FC's Filcho Dzhagarov was substituted for Jerzy Zjawin. Romando Futebol Clube made a substitution.
