In the 5th minute of the game Luís Novaes made a throw-in which Abel de Godoi played forward. Luiz Corrêa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abel de Godoi in the 7th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abel de Godoi in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luiz Corrêa saved ROSÁRIO SPORT from getting behind. Tony Dionísio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abelardo Maranhense having to interfere. In the 17th minute of the game Luís Novaes made a throw-in which Abel de Godoi played forward. The audience was convinced that Sten Andrejević's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Abelardo Maranhense was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. In the 21st minute Magno Sampaio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Corrêa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Osvaldinho Veiga made in the 27th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by ROSÁRIO SPORT's Alexandros Krieser. In the 29th minute Abel de Godoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Corrêa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 31 minutes into the game, Cássio Ferraz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Luiz Corrêa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of ROSÁRIO SPORT booed when Olivedos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agostinho Cosme didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dean Harveys short, quick shot in the 36thth minute got Abelardo Maranhense to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 37 minutes into the match, ROSÁRIO SPORT's goal looked a bit too open when Abel de Godoi came free, but Luiz Corrêa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luís Novaes kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. ROSÁRIO SPORT's Adalberto Xavier quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Osvaldinho Veiga, made in the 42nd minute of the game.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abel de Godoi to make the kick off. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Olivedos's goalkeeper Abelardo Maranhense, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, ROSÁRIO SPORT's Luiz Corrêa got control of the ball when Cássio Ferraz tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, ROSÁRIO SPORT's Alexandros Krieser got a free kick in the 61st minute. Olivedos's Abelardo Maranhense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sten Andrejević in the 64th minute of play. The Olivedos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. In the 71st minute, Olivedos's Abel de Godoi dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. ROSÁRIO SPORT made a substitution. Ture Möllgren replaced Tony Dionísio. ROSÁRIO SPORT's Douglas Basso was substituted for Sigvard Rosendal. Luiz Corrêa made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Abel de Godoi sent off a good shot on target. Douglas Basso got in the 82nd a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Abelardo Maranhense handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Abelardo Maranhense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandros Krieser in the 85th minute of play. After a rather tough play, ROSÁRIO SPORT's Ture Möllgren got a free kick in the 87th minute. If Abel de Godoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abel de Godoi in the 89th minute of play forced ROSÁRIO SPORT's goalkeeper Luiz Corrêa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dean Harvey hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Abelardo Maranhense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Douglas Basso in the 93rd minute of play. After 95 played minutes Olivedos got a freekick which was hit by Cássio Ferraz. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Olivedos walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
