Octav Traian didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Octav Traian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 9th minute Felix Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octav Traian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustín Saelices in the 11th minute of play forced Uszykowani NWS's goalkeeper Octav Traian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octav Traian having to interfere. In the 25th minute, Daniel Zorita made a precise shot to the right of Octav Traian. Uszykowani NWS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. A hard shot 32 in the game by Christer Salqvist from a close distance when the talented Julio Vera managed to make a qualified save. Ecuador's players were relieved. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustav Tunström in the 44th minute of play. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Christer Salqvist in the 48th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Octav Traian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 60 minutes, Jardel Beaton made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Ecuador's Julio Vera tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 65 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mariusz Banas was slow to take the kick. During this time Uszykowani NWS's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Stasio Tutaj heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Uszykowani NWS fans' excitement grew in the 71st match minute when Uszykowani NWS's Jardel Beaton looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Gustav Tunström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jardel Beaton's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Octav Traian read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. When Felix Montenegro came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felix Montenegro couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew the final whistle, Uszykowani NWS could leave the field as winners, despite Ecuador having more of the ball for most of the match.
