Felix Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rosendo Seguinus having to interfere. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Remus Vermeşan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Remus Vermeşan who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 37thth minute tested the skills of Julio Vera when he managed to save the team from getting behind.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eduard Semeghin in the 54th minute of the match. The supporters of Ecuador booed when ASF BAIA MARE -MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. In the 87th minute, Cristian Sancho fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Rosendo Seguinus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remus Vermeşan in the 92nd minute of play. Aron Zgrăbunţa charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aron Zgrăbunţa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 94 played minutes ASF BAIA MARE -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Aron Zgrăbunţa.
