The audience was convinced that Sylwester Majorski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cyryl Adamus in the 14th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Cyryl Adamus kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. In the 36th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. In the 37th minute, David Skjold got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Costa in the 40th minute of play forced Olimpia Koło's goalkeeper Pawel Madej to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd minute, Sylwester Majorski made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. The supporters of Olimpia Koło booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Guillermo Mariano hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cyryl Adamus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cyryl Adamus in the 90th minute of play. In the 92nd minute Tolek Jarmulowicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
