Cremonese FC's Kong Gang Zhan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abraham Alguacil in the 12th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Abraham Alguacil had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kong Gang Zhan. Cremonese FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Abraham Alguacil was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Panama's Tomas Berganza got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tomas Berganza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kong Gang Zhan having to interfere. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yasar Bonnemain, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. 24 minutes into the match, Cremonese FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Kong Gang Zhan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 26 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Tomas Berganza sped through Cremonese FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Kong Gang Zhan. Abraham Alguacil's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kong Gang Zhan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. 29 minutes into the game, Felipe Branco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cremonese FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Panama the free kick. After 29 played minutes Cremonese FC got a freekick which was hit by Felipe Branco. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredão Cosme in the 33rd minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 38 minutes into the match, Abraham Alguacil had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kong Gang Zhan. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Felipe Branco the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Cremonese FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Felipe Branco had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After a defensive mix-up in Cremonese FC's zone, Abraham Alguacil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kong Gang Zhan came out of the goal and Abraham Alguacil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kong Gang Zhan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Berganza in the 92nd minute of the match.
